Born in Sydney, Shaun Gladwell works on the themes of memory, personal stories and contemporary culture with a very comprehensive approach to cultural history. Using different media – video , painting, sculpture and performance – its action is in the self -portrait that represents the practicing extreme sports in investigations of athletes and their relationship to the urban environment. The videos of Shaun Gladwell evoke complex ideas and associations, in which he notably studied the human body in motion. He takes part to the Climate Change Hip-Hop Opera project of the group MELD and he was finalist of the COAL Prize Art and Environment 2015.
